Kids--Should they be allowed to come to camps?

So I have been helping Meghan with her summer camp. The group of kids that are regulars sren't really that bad, but there have been some troubles. Today was extremely bad. Some might blame their behaviour on the weather. Others on parenting. Others still on peers. I don't exactly know what I blame yet, but I think it is a combination of all of the above...and more. Anyway, we stopped a game today, and had a "talking to" with the kids about a zillion times. I am wondering the whole time why they just don't behave. I would hate to be talked to a zillion times and would smarten up.

On top of this kid problem there is also the census. I know you are saying "but that form was due two months ago! you can't possibly still be working!" Oh how wrong you are. I am pretty sure it will continue for another week. As long as they pay me I don't complain too much, but people...it is just a form, that is a legal requirement to fill out...just do it! The poor enumerators DON'T care about your information. We see a million people and forget about you the second we move away from your door. So don't act all suspicious, because I just want to go home and sleep after working full time and then going to talk to the incomplient citizens of Canada.

The young man who has a slight crush did not show up at the museum, to my joy, yesterday. Pat was like "I know he wants to change days because of you. But if it gets to be too much just let me know." How EMBARRASSING to have everyone at work know about this odd crush. Then Pat was like "Just think back to that sixth grade teacher" and I was like (in my head) "Yuck, that is even worse to think about. That means that I am in a position of power and he is my student." Anyway, nothing will be happening on that front, except for more giggles from coworkers and more red on my face.

That would be an interesting thing to think back to...your 6th grade teacher and you having a crush on them...because it was a her...hmmm? does pat know something I don't? Plus I think you should go out with the guy, but not Ms. Shewan.
