I am interesting!

Despite what Meghan says, I am interesting!
Since this is my first post (and probably last) I will tell you a bit about myself.
I have a lot going on in my head at any given time which tends to lead me to say things without thinking and, therefore, make a complete fool out of myself. On the other hand, when I am taking classes I will sit there for hours without opening my mouth. I am full of contradictions I suppose.
I am a feminist and an environmentalist. Not anything too outrageous, I just believe in equality and clean air. I admire the people who were strong enough to take a stand and stick to their convictions. I have a pet peeve right now about people using the wrong type of to/too/two, but I just about did it in this post!
Ummm....I talk kind of fast, I just finished university (B.A. and B. Ed.) and will be doing my masters this year, I just learned how to ride a bike (at an extremely embarrassing age) and want to travel. If I do continue to write this blog, it probably won't be as amusing as Meghan or Ashley's, I just don't seem to have a knack for writing, but we will see.

So the first news I will tell you about is the summer awkward crush right now. I will not date this boy, he is too young, and it is too gross to contmplate. There has got to be a 5 year difference in age, but he flirts with me! I try not to let it get to me, but then Meghan and Ben make comments about it while I am talking to him and start laughing, which makes my face go very red and then I start to laugh. It is very awkward.

Another thing about me is that I don't think very quick on my feet. My head does this inner dialogue thing and nothing happens fast. For example, when Aunt Tracy called the one time to see if it would be possible for us to go to Myrtle Beach with them over the Christmas break, she told me not to tell mom who was on the phone. But after having a fairly lengthy conversation with her, and mom and Meghan sitting in the room listening, when I hung up the phone the inquisition started. "Who was on the phone?"-mom and Meghan
"tell them it was a wrong number, no that wouldn't work, it was too long a conversation"-my head
"ha ha"-Me
"Who was it?"-them
"tell them it was a survey, but I didn't answer anything"-my head
"I don't know"-me
"I don't know, that was a stupid answer!"-my head
"How can you not know who you were just talking to?"-Meghan (in snotty voice)
"caught!"-my head
"ha ha"-me
"I can't get myself out of this one, I have to tell them"- my head
I was also laughing pretty hard at this time, because another thing about me is that I laugh when I try to lie, I just can't help it.
Anyway, so I ended up telling them who was on the phone. Meghan wants me to say it was a very Scrubs-like moment (her favourite show).

Anyway, that is enough for now, I hope to be writing again. Stay tuned.

Mikey (a.k.a. Mikael, or some weird name Ashley gave me and Meghan)
