Another Post

So this is my second post, and I don't know if this is going to work. I don't actually know how to post (Meghan set it up for me) and when I went to the help section it said to push the little green cross, but I don't see it. So what I did, was I beat the system. I went into edit my comment, but then didn't actually edit the comment, I just went to create instead! I thought it was genius, lol. And I am going to masters...scary who they'll let in.

So I was reading another person's blog and they were saying they hated old navy commercials. I thought "hey, me too" and then I thought about...............The Kraft Dinner commercial! I hate that commercial. It is the one where the people are in a dorm and there are guys in their room and they want KD but they can't have hot plate so they turn the heat way up. There are way to many problems with this commercial to count. But I will try anyway.

1) If they could make the room hot enough to boil water in, they would not be staying in their room. Stupid.
2) The boys are on a floor, entirely made up of skinny women who walk around practically nude (would never happen), instead of trying to fix the heat problem.
3) Even though the girls feel the necessity to strip down to towels and short shorts, the boys are still fully clothed....Take off your shirts, you are guys!
4) The guys aren't attractive and are apparently pervs (turning up the heat to watch girls walk around naked...oh and for the KD) so they have no hope with these girls!
5) The Kraft company is only appealing to boys with this commercial, and let me tell you, I am a girl who used to really enjoy KD...until the commercial.
6) There is a blatent objectification of women, Nelly McClung would be rolling over in her grave to see how slowly we are moving towards equality.

So contradictory to my other post where I say I don't stand up for my convictions I called the questions number on the back of the KD box. And let me tell you I felt so accomplished....Until the commercials started showing more regularily (or that could just be me making it personal). The woman I got was nice enough, but she is just some woman getting paid a small wage to answer the phones. She told me to do well in school and then let me go, lol. I was like what? Just solve my problem! Anyway, the woman said she would give my complaint to her boss, etc., you know, the usual bs. Now whenever I eat KD (not often anymore) I have a taste of bitter defeat.

Anyway, nothing new, just Natalie's post made me think about the KD commercial.
